Site work for a civil project in Elkin, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

As of September 3,2020 the project is not yet awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Est. Const. Cost: Contract A: Sewer Pipe Rehabilitation $557,000 Contract B: Various Sewer System Improvements $705,000 Bids for the 2018 Collection System Rehabilitation Project will be received, by the Yadkin Valley Sewer Authority. The Project consists of sewer system collection improvements including: Contract A: Sewer Pipe Rehabilitation, includes the installation of cured-in-place pipe of approximately 20,329 LF of 8 and 230 LF of 10 gravity lines; and Contract B: One pump station improvements, various sewer system improvements that includes new installation and replacement of approximately 1,691 LF of 8 gravity sewer lines, 40 LF of 16 bored encasement, 154 LF of 24 bored encasement, 48 locate service line and install cleanout, 31 pipe repairs of varying lengths and types, 16 tap replacements, rehabilitation/repair of 20 manholes (including 83 VF of cementitious lining, new frame/covers, raise frame/covers, and various other items), and smoke defect repairs (including disconnecting roof leaders and area drain from the sewer system). Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders must hold a valid North Carolina General Contractors license with a classification of PU-Water and Sewer Lines or Unclassified. The Yadkin Valley Sewer Authority encourages small, minority, female, and local contractors to bid on this project. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5% percent of Bidders maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a certified check, bank money order, or a Bid bond (on the form included in the Bidding Documents) issued by a surety meeting the requirements. Contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price, as security for the faithful performance and payment of all of Contractors obligations under the Contract. Bidder agrees that the Work will be substantially complete within 270 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions and will be completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within 300 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Provisions for liquidated damages, if any, for failure to timely attain a Milestone, Substantial Completion, or completion of the Work in readiness for final payment, are set forth in the Agreement. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Owner will reject the Bid of any Bidder that Owner finds, after reasonable inquiry and evaluation, to not be responsible. bid result: Tri-State Utilities : Contract A : $7,500 Buckeye Bridge LLC : Contract B : $813,366
