State-of-good-repair upgrades to the Queens Park Building of the University of St Michaels College. The Queens Park Building is located on Queens Park Crescent East and comprised of three student residence wings (Fisher House, More House, and Teefy Hall). The complex is comprised of a 4-storey heritage building originally constructed in 1936 as a library (PIMS), residence (More & Fisher) and classrooms (Teefy). The complex is currently comprised as More House (for men) and Fisher House (for women) as mirror images of each other, while Teefy Hall is a small female-only house located above two floors of classrooms. The majority of the rooms in Queens Park are doubles with an overall combined floor area of 46,125 ft2. As the building was constructed in 1936, it is comprised of solid masonry exterior walls and reinforced concrete floor slabs. TIMELINE: The Consultant has completed an evaluation of existing architectural, structural, building envelope, mechanical, electrical, environmental, and fire and life safety base building systems, for the long-term stewardship of each of the Capital Assets. The evaluation has been forwarded to the owner for approval. Projects will be identified based on capital funding allocation and followed at the tender stage.
