As of March 5, 2021, a firm construction timeline has not been established. The City of Phoenix is seeking a qualified contractor to provide preconstruction services and complete construction services for the Booster Pump Station (BPS) Improvements Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) project. The selected CMAR will work as a team with the designer of record and City staff to ensure an efficient design approach for the project along with coordinating with the 16" Cave Creek Pipeline CMAR contractor (selected through a separate advertisement). The 10A-B1 BPS project sites is located at 33005 N 52ND ST. Design phase services for this project are funded in Fiscal Year 2019/20 with Construction in Fiscal Year 2021/22. The City of Phoenix will NOT accept responses submitted after the Date and Time stated in the Solicitation, nor will the City of Phoenix accept responses submitted by fax or e-mail. It is the Bidder's responsibility to ensure that they have all addenda prior to submitting their offer. The City needs to make improvements and upgrades to the 10A-B1 BPS to increase pumping capacity by rehabbing the site and constructing a new suction piping to serve 10A-B1. The proposed BPS improvements will require extensive coordination with Operations and other divisions, as well as with the Town of Cave Creek and their representatives. As the new BPS operation is dependent on completion of the separate construction of the two new 16” Waterlines, construction activities will need to be performed in parallel within a tight construction schedule and budget. It is anticipated the construction will be completed by Fall 2022. The selected firm will also need to coordinate with Remote Facilities and Distribution for shutdown and isolation of the BPS and Waterlines BPS 10A-B1 (33005 N 52 nd St) • Firm Capacity: 5.8 MGD • New mechanical equipment, including all new pumps, pump cans, suction and discharge piping, valves, and related equipment, • New surge/hydropneumatics system, • Upgraded primary electrical service, • New Service Entrance Section, • New electrical gear, instrumentation, and controls, • New generator to meet increased standby power requirements, • Minor site improvements, including minor rehabilitation items and improvements to the existing 9A-B2 BPS that served the existing 10A-B1 BPS that will be demolished, and • Demolition of the existing 10A-B1 BPS, associated electrical gear, instrumentation, and controls.
