Bids must be submitted on the Bid Proposal Forms provided and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid and a Consent of Surety from an approved surety company, licensed to conduct business in the State of New Jersey agreeing that, if the bidder is awarded the contract by the Borough of Englewood Cliffs, the surety will provide the required performance bond. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the "Englewood Cliffs Borough Clerk" and clearly marked on the outside "BID FOR SOLID WASTE COLLECTION" Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c.127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27), as amended and supplemented from time to time. In addition, bidders are notified that they must pay the prevailing wage as determined by the "New Jersey Wage Act, Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963", extension effective July, 1974. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 as amended and supplemented from time to time. The requirements of P.L. 1977, Chapter 33, regarding ownership must be met and the required form, which will be supplied with the Bid Proposal Forms, must be completed, signed and submitted with the bid. Notice of revisions or addenda to advertisements or bid documents relating to bids will, no later than seven days, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays excepted, prior to the date for acceptance of bid, be published in The Record and the Star Ledger. The Borough of Englewood Cliffs reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities as the interest of the Borough may require. The Borough is not responsible for loss or destruction of any bids mailed or delivered to the Borough Clerk prior to the time set for bid openings.
