Project will be re-advertise but no definite date for the rebid The project includes removal of an existing manhole, installation of a new precast concrete manhole in the same location, and repairing existing laterals and sewer main at the new manhole. A Certified Check or Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Upper Gwynedd Township in the amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. All Proposals shall be submitted in accordance with the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS, Paragraph 14 - BID SUBMISSION. Each bidder must accompany his Bid with a signed certificate from his surety company indicating that such surety company will provide the Bidder, if awarded the Contract, with a proper Performance Bond and Labor and Material Bond covering up to the full amount of the contract price as security for the faithful performance of all work under the Contract and payment of all charges in connection therewith. A Maintenance Bond is also required in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Contract Price, including Change Orders, or five thousand dollars ($5,000), whichever is greater. Refer to INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS, Paragraph 10 - BONDS. All contractors and sub-contractors working on this project will be required to comply with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act No. 222. . Applicable COVID-19 protection and protocols will be necessary and enforced at the meeting. Upper Gwynedd Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any bidding informalities. Any contract awarded will be to the lowest responsible bidder. The Work included under the Upper Gwynedd Township Swedesford and Britt Roads Manhole E3428 Upgrades Project Contract consists of furnishing all new materials, equipment, supplies, labor, transportation, fuel and power and performing all Specifications, and schedules, all of which are made a part hereof. The work shall be complete, and all work, materials, and services not expressly called for in the Specifications which may be necessary for complete and proper construction to carry out the Contract in good faith, shall be performed, furnished, and installed by the Contractor at no additional cost to the Owner. The work shall be executed in the best and most workmanlike manner by qualified, careful and experienced workers.
