**As of 8/25/2020 project was not yet been awarded, wont be awarded until mid to late September. The Project consists of the following major items: Approx. 750 LF of 12" raw water main and appurtenances by open cut, Approx. 1,875 LF of 16" raw water main and appurtenances by open cut, Approx. 5,625 LF of 18" raw water main and appurtenances by open cut, Approx. 10,150 LF of 24" raw water main and appurtenances by open cut, Approx. 2,750 LF of 24" water main and appurtenances by open cut, Approx. 1,705 LF of 16" raw water main by horizontal directional drill, Approx. 2,406 LF of 24" raw water main by horizontal directional drill, Approx. 1,575 LF of 24" water main by horizontal directional drill, Approx. 75 LF of 24" steel encasement and 12" raw water by bore and jack, Approx. 530 LF of 42" steel encasement and 24" raw water by bore and jack, Approx. 160 LF of 48" steel encasement and 24" raw water by bore and jack. After Bids are opened, the Owner shall evaluate them in accordance with the methods and criteria set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. Unless all Bids are rejected, Award will be made to the lowest responsible Bidder, taking into consideration quality, performance and the time specified in the proposals for the performance of the Contract. There will be a pre-bid meeting for this project in accordance with the Contract Documents. With request for Bidding Documents supply the following information: Company name, contact person, street address, and phone and fax numbers for Bidding office; N. C. contractor's license with limitation and classification; indicate if the firm will be a Bidder, Supplier or Sub-Contractor. Bidders will be required to show evidence that they are licensed to perform the work in the Bidding Documents as required by North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87 and the Instructions to Bidders. Bid Security in the amount of five percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid and shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders.
