The City of Phoenix is seeking a qualified contractor to provide preconstruction services and complete construction services for the Water Main Replacement: Stanford Drive - McDonald Drive / 40th Street 44th Street Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) project. Replacement of approximately 26,474 LF of main, 46 fire hydrants, 287 services connections, and 18 cut and plugs. Construction will start in fiscal year 23/24. The selected CMAR will work as a team with the designer of record and City staff to ensure an efficient design approach for the project. The project site is located in quarter section 20-37 bordered by Stanford Drive to McDonald Drive / 40th Street to 44th Street. The Construction Manager at Risk will begin with the firm in an agency support role for preconstruction services. The CMAR will assume the risk of delivering the project through a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) contract. The CMAR will be responsible for construction means and methods and will be required to solicit bids from prequalified subcontractors to perform the work using the Citys subcontractor selection process. The CMAR may also compete to self-perform limited amounts of work. The GMP must be submitted in MAG or CSI format or it will not be accepted.
