Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Overfield Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.

To replace an existing girder bridge with a new single span prestressed beam bridge This project will consist of replacement of the existing two-span steel girder bridge with a 106 ft span 25 ft length single span prestressed beam bridge. The bridge replacement will also consist of associated work including, but not limited to, demolition of the existing structure, backfilling, and stream channel improvements. In addition, approximately 650 ft of the existing roadway adjacent to the bridge will be realigned horizontally and vertically. Road work will include demolition of the existing road, grading, subgrade placement and compaction, paving, installation of stormwater features, and other associated work Bidders must be PennDOT Prequalified as specified in section 102.01, of Publication 408. Contractors qualifying as subcontractors may submit bids as a prime contractor, consistent with their qualifications and as specified in section 108.01, Publication 408. A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project Bidders must provide with their Proposal (or Bid) either a certified bank treasurer's check, or a certified cashier's check payable to the order of Tunkhannock Township, or a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid. Bidders must also provide with their Proposal a fully completed Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Public Works Employment Verification Form. The two apparent low bidders will be required after bids are opened to provide proof of prior experience and adequate resources to complete the project. The successful low bidder will be required to furnish fully executed original Proposal (or Bid) forms. Failure to fully comply with all bid requirements including but not limited to the above will be cause to reject a bid. The successful Contractors will be required to furnish upon Contract Award a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each for one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price as bid. Bidders are advised that PA Prevailing Minimum Wage Rates must be paid to workers employed on this project and are incorporated in the Contract Documents. These wage rate requirements are applicable to this contract for the entire duration of this project CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 7/12/2021 4:00 PM The Township may hold all Bids and they shall remain irrevocable for 60 days from the date of opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and verifying the qualifications of the Bidders prior to awarding the contract. The Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive any informalities or irregularities, or negotiate contract amounts. The Bidder, in accordance with the President's Executive Order 11246, will be required to ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against on the basis of their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin in employment or the provision of services. Final Completion within one hundred twenty (120) days of Notice to Proceed.
