Site work, new construction and renovation of an educational facility in Kissimmee, Florida. Working plans call for the construction of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

This document shall serve to provide interested parties with specific information as to the Procedures for Selection of a Construction Management Firm where the method of compensation is a Negotiated Fee on a Guaranteed Maximum Price. Pursuant to Chapter 1013, Florida Statutes, the Florida Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act, Section 287.055 Florida Statutes, and Rule 6A-2.0010, Florida Administrative Code, the School District of Osceola County, Florida will consider the contracting of one (1) firm to provide construction management services for the project described below. In determining whether a firm is qualified, the School District of Osceola County, Florida shall consider such factors as supporting office location(s), experience and past performance, proposed project staff and functions, project approach, workload, scheduling methodology, and references The selected firm will provide Construction Management Services for the selective demolition, renovation and construction of new buildings that will allow for the complete comprehensive renovation of the Gateway High School Campus. Cheryl Hood, Supervisor of Purchasing is the designated Purchasing Agent and will be responsible for facilitating the entire selection process. Mrs. Hood shall be the sole point of contact for all Respondents. Questions concerning any portion of this RFQ shall be directed in writing (fax and email accepted) to the designated Purchasing Agent as listed below. Questions should be submitted at least seven (7) days before the closing date. Question End Date 8/10/2020 12:00 PM Within ten (10) business days after the GMP Amendment is agreed to by Owner and Construction Manager, Construction Manager shall provide Owner's Project Representative with certified copies of the Payment and Performance Bonds, after recordation in the Public Records of Osceola County, in the amount of 100% of the total sum of the GMP, the costs of which are to be paid by Construction Manager. Construction Manager shall not commence construction of the Work on the Project prior to delivery of the recorded bonds to Owner's Project Representative. The School Board has the sole discretion and reserves the right to cancel this RFQ, to reject any and all submittals, to waive any and all informalities and/or irregularities, or to re-advertise with either the identical or revised specifications, if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the School District to do so.
