Renovation of an educational facility in Roseto, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

**The project was awarded to the following bidder: -Pocono Plumbing Plus/Boyer Construction – P. O. Box 514 Broadheadsville, PA 18322 – New restrooms and reconfiguring entry to staff lounge at a cost not to exceed $60,000.00. -Country Carpet-450 South First Street, Bangor, PA 18013- Removal of old flooring and installation of new hardwood floor on the second floor hallway of Faith Christian School at a cost not to exceed $32,035.51 -Country Carpet -450 South First Street, Bangor, PA 18013 – Installation of Shaw Succesion 2 on stairwell landings at a cost not to exceed $1771.00. For a total of $93,806.51.** However, individuals or entities submitting proposals (hereinafter referenced as bidders) are cautioned that there are times when the office may be closed for various reasons such as holidays, vacations, sickness, unexpected circumstances and the like. Bidders are directed to contact the Borough office to be certain that office personnel will be available to receive the proposal on a timely basis and prior to the deadline of the receipt of proposals. The telephone number for the Roseto Borough Office is 610-588-0695. The proposals are for the Faith Christian School grant project through the Commonwealth Financing Agency, Local Share Account. The renovations are as follows: 1. Columbus School Building, 122 Dante Street, Roseto to include the following: --Create two staff restrooms on upper floor of Columbus School building. --Demolish old duct chase and taking space from Room #205. --Frame up space to create two 5'x5' 6" restrooms, including reconfiguring entry to staff lounge to accommodate second entry door for staff restroom. --Run drainage and water lines from crawl space from lower level for lights, outlets, exhaust fans and instant hut units for each restroom. --Install sound proof insulation in walls, sheet rock, spackle, paint and trim both rooms --Each restroom will have, one elongated toilet with auto flush valve, one all hung sink with hands free faucet, one vanity mirror, paper towel holders and grab bars. --Install sub floors and finish flooring for each restroom. --Bid to be inclusive of all labor and materials for renovation. It is required that all project activities be carried out in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulation, including all OSHA regulations. All bids will comply with prevailing wage rates. Each BID, when submitted must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Bank Cashiers or Bank Certified Check which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Bid. Such amount shall guarantee that, in the event the Contract is awarded to the bidder, each party will execute the contract in good faith. Further, by submitting a proposal, the bidder acknowledges that he/she/it has inspected the site and/or understands the work to be performed. All work will be started and completed in accordance with an official Notice to Proceed issued by the Borough. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond, Maintenance Bond, and a Labor and Material Payment Bond. This will be equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount for the full and faithful performance of the contract, and a certificate of liability and workers compensation insurance. Said bond must be in effect for the term of the contract or period of performance and the premium for said bond shall be paid by the bidder. A certificate from the surety showing that the bond premiums are paid in full shall accompany the bond. All bonds must be executed by sureties who are in good standing, are listed in the U.S. Treasury List of Approved Sureties and are licensed to conduct business within the Commonwealth o f Pennsylvania and must be accompanied by a certified, effective and currently dated certificate of the surety's authority to act. Such performance bonds and payment bonds shall be delivered to the Borough within twenty (20) calendar days after the contract has been awarded or when performance begins, which is the first to occur. The Borough of Roseto is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer. The Borough of Roseto reserves the right to reject all bids, increases or decrease an item or items, to delete any item or items, and/or waive any technicalities or informalities in the Bidding and award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder or as deemed to be in the Borough best interests. Failure of the bidder to sign the proposal and/or submit the required bidding documents may be cause for rejection of any proposal. BIDS may be held by OWNER and may not be revoked for a period of not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of proposals for the purpose of reviewing the proposals and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
