Site work for a civil project in Dunkirk, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Contract 2-2020 involves construction of approximately 1,810 lineal feet of 12-inch watermain including valves, hydrants, accessories, and surface restoration. Each bid must be accompanied by proposal security in the form of a certified check or a bid bond in an amount equal to not less than ten percent (10%) of the total base bid price in accordance with provisions contained in the "Information for Bidders" section of the specifications. Proposal security shall be made payable to the City of Dunkirk. Bidders must be on record at the issuing office as an official plan holder. Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons or companies who have purchased a full set of contract documents. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of 60 days after date of bid opening. This contract is subject to the higher of the New York Department of Labor and Federal Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage Rate determinations. A copy of the prevailing wage rates are included in the contract documents. The City of Dunkirk encourages New York State certified Minority and Women's Business Enterprises to submit bids on this project. The City of Dunkirk is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. There are legally required Minority and Women's Business Enterprise and Equal Employment Opportunity provisions in the Contract Documents. The City of Dunkirk reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept or reject any part of any bid, and to waive any irregularities.
