The MTA Grand Blanc Township Alternative Fuels Facility maintains and operates the CNG fixed route and regional bus fleet. Due to growth of the bus fleet, MTA will need to construct an addition to the CNG Bus Storage Facility. Addition to be constructed to the east CNG Bus Storage Garage at its Grand Blanc Twp. Alternative Fuels Facility, 5051 South Dort Highway, Grand Blanc, Michigan. The addition will be attached to south side of the existing eastern bus garage. The intent is to construct operations facilities for drivers and dispatchers as a connecter between the existing garage and the new garage (which will have storage capacity for 20 buses). The garage addition is to be constructed to effectively match the existing garage structure. HVAC systems will be housed on the roof of the connector (a low roof structure between the garages) and/or directly behind it to serve the entire new addition. The existing bus wash bay on the south end of the existing garage is to remain in situ. Outline Space Program Requirements: Drivers' Lounge: With space for vending machines, "airline style" lockers and casual seating and tables/chairs for 60 persons. Toilets: Men with two WC's, three urinals and five lavatories; women with five WC's and five lavatories. Dispatcher Office: With Counter/workstation space for three dispatchers and associated computers, printers, copier, etc. Window to Corridor for drivers to get assignments, etc. Cash Vault: With 48" vault door and hardened roof. Counter along two adjacent walls for two vault workers. Enclosed 10-bay pre-engineered steel bus garage to accommodate 20 CNG fueled buses.
