Renovation of an educational facility in Fort Worth, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a three-story above grade educational facility.

Bid submission shall be accompanied by either an original cashier's check, certified check or money order upon a state bank in the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total maximum RFP price, payable without recourse to the Tarrant County College District or an original bid bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company licensed to do business in the State of Texas. Bid security serves as a guarantee that the firm will enter into a contract and execute a payment and performance bond on any or all projects valued at $25,000 or above within fifteen (15) days after notice of award. For projects over $25,000, an original payment bond will be required of the successful Firm and shall be executed by a surety company acceptable to the District and authorized to do business in the State of Texas. The payment bond shall be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total sum for all projects above $25,000. Original bonds shall be delivered to the District no later than fifteen (15) days after receiving notice of award and should be issued in the AIA - A312 2010 version. For projects above $100,000, both an original performance bond and an original payment bond will be required of the successful Firm and shall be executed by a surety company acceptable to the District and authorized to do business in the State of Texas. The performance and payment bond shall be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total sum for all projects over $100,000. Failure to deliver the performance and payment bond as specified shall be considered as having abandoned the contract and the bid bond will be retained by the District as liquidated damages. Original bonds shall be delivered to the District no later than fifteen (15) calendar days after receiving the notice of award and should be issued in the AIA - A312 2010 version TCCD encourages participation from certified Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) Questions regarding this RFP must be in writing and e-mailed to Jorge Espinosa, Construction Purchasing Manager at jorge.espinosa@tccd.edu. TCCD's Director of Purchasing or Purchasing Manager are the only authorized sources that can provide information regarding this RFP and such information will be in writing. 08/20/2020 - Construction Contract Board Approval 09/03/2020 - Begin Construction 01/11/2021 - Project Complete 01/11/2021 - Substantial Completion 02/01/2021 - Final Completion MWBE Subcontractor Utilization Plan & MWBE Certification -The impact on the ability of the District to comply with laws and rules relating to minority-owned businesses (20% inclusion goal)
