Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Somerville, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

This project generally includes but is not limited to 20 separate locations within Somerset County. This work consists of 122 curb ramps, 4 signalized intersections, 30,000 tons of HMA pavement, and 260,000 linear feet of thermoplastic traffic stripes. This contract is funded by the New Jersey Department of Transportation under the Local Aid program. In accordance with PL Section 9 of P.L.1995, c.108 (C.27:1B-25.1) For all projects funded, in whole or in part, out of funds from the local aid program, each bidder on a construction contract valued at more than $5,000,000 shall be prequalified by the New Jersey Department of Transportation. The following prequalification class codes are eligible to bid this project: 3- Grading & Paving, 3A-Grading & Bituminous Paving, 5- Heavy Highway, or 25-Milling. Bids shall be delivered in sealed envelopes and addressed to Melissa A. Kosensky, Interim Purchasing Agent, County Administration Building, Purchasing Division 3rd Floor, 20 Grove Street, Somerville, New Jersey 08876, clearly marked on the outside with the contract name and number, bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside. In accordance with the Governor's directives, the County of Somerset offices are closed to the public, but still operational. The Somerset County Purchasing Division is maintaining Social Distancing; therefore, it is encouraged to Mail in your bid responses in a timely manner via USPS, UPS and FedEx, etc. If they must be hand-delivered, potential bidders may drop them off at the Main Entrance of the County's Administration Building, 20 Grove Street, Somerville, New Jersey 08876 and a Sheriff's Officer will contact the Purchasing Division to receive the responses. A bid review providing unit prices will not take place at the openings. Instead, this information will be posted, as always to the Purchasing webpage once available. Release of all Plans/Drawings requires receipt of a form of identification from the requesting individual and Company information. Bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000, payable unconditionally to Somerset County Treasurer, along with a Certificate (Consent of Surety) with Power of Attorney for full amount of bid price from a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and that said Surety will furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in amounts of 100% of successful bidder's contract. All Bid Addenda will be issued on the County website at www.co.somerset.nj.us and processed in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-23(c)(2).
