Site work and paving for a road / highway in Tyler, Texas. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Plans call to be built overpass along with widening Old Jacksonville Hwy. Widening from four lanes with a continuous center turn lane to a six-lane roadway with a raised median, reconfiguring its intersection at Rice Road to improve turning movements, constructing grade-separated interchanges at its intersections with Loop 323 and Grande Boulevard, incorporating sidewalks and/or shared-use pathways, where applicable, to improve pedestrian safety, incorporating six-foot bicycle facilities, where applicable, to improve bicyclist safety. As of July 31, 2020, this project is in planning stage. Information regarding design firm and general contractor selection has not been disclosed. A tentative second public meeting is scheduled for Fall of 2020 with public hearing in Summer of 2021. A right-of-way acquisition will be in 2022. Construction is slated to begin in 2024. all.
