2019-171 Magnitude is Between $500,000 and $1,000,000 This project is a repair and construction project to renovate the old RAPCON facility for conversion to a mail handling area and office space for the radar repair team. The primary scope of this project is to renovate the existing 557 building including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, as well as demolition of old surrounding radar facility buildings and grounds. This project will include demolition of building 545, 545a, fuel tank, inground fuel tank, removal of (2) tress, and foundations to old buildings 557B, 557C, and miscellaneous concrete structures. The exterior of the building will receive a new standing seam gable roof built on top of the existing roof. The building's exterior work includes repair and replacement of some of the building's exterior skin and replacing all windows and doors. The interiors of the existing building 557 will be re-finished and modifications to existing layout will be made to meet accessibility requirements.
