The proposed project may include but is not necessarily limited to: Replacement of the two existing culverts at two separate locations on Captain Thomas Road both crossing the Ogunquit River in Ogunquit, ME. The first crossing is located approximately 150ft east of the intersection of Autumn River Lane and will include replacement of the existing 48 Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP) with new precast culvert elements (40 long precast concrete box culvert, precast block wingwalls, and precast concrete cutoff wall units). The second location is approximately 400ft east of the first crossing and includes replacing the existing 24 CMP with a single 48 HDPE pipe with precast concrete headwalls. The work shall also include pedestrian detour, traffic maintenance, guardrail installation, riprap installation, and earthwork. Make checks payable to DuBois & King, Inc. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidders date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Only Bid Documents obtained from the Issuing Office shall be used for submitting a Bid. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. The anticipated project schedule is to start construction on or about Monday July 19th, 2021 and complete construction by October 2nd, 2021 with an expected duration of 75 days. The Notice of Award is anticipated to be issued on or about June 22, 2021. All work shall be conducted during the 2021 construction season, with the in-stream work to be conducted during the time of year restriction of July 15th, 2021 to October 1st, 2021. All Bidders (Prime Contractor or Contractor/Subcontractors Teams) shall demonstrate they are qualified to perform the work as specified or indicated in these Contract Documents by providing Project Highlight sheets of at least four (4) successful bridge or culvert replacement projects (with a span 10ft or greater) completed within the past 3 years, containing project location, span length, costs, & client reference. Failure to provide this information may result in rejection of the Bid. Bid Security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
