Project no: 21-059-01, 20-1667 Project No. 20200405E001 The Redmond Senior & Community Center (RS&CC) is located on the Redmond Civic Campus in Redmond Washington. The campus sits at the corner of 85th Street and 160th Avenue NE. The design of the (RSCC) envisions constructing a new facility on the site of the former Senior Center. The program addresses the needs of the senior population in Redmond as well as the larger Redmond community. Major program elements in the building include a senior lounge and library, arts and crafts room, game area, music room, multi-use community room with stage, commercial kitchen, two court gym with an elevated walk jog track, lobby/reception space, administrative offices, cardio/weight area, stretching, restrooms, lockers w/ changing and shower areas, child watch and multi-purpose exercise rooms. Site improvements for the (RSCC) consist of approximately of new plaza, terraces, pedestrian drop-off, walkways, raised vegetable garden, fire lanes, lawn and planted areas directly adjacent to the proposed RSCC. This new landscape will serve to support the interior functions of the building, facilitate the entry and exit experience, host Civic events and add to the unique civic spaces of the Municipal Campus. The building will be designed to meet the requirements of USGBC LEED v. 4 Silver certification. Gold and Platinum will be evaluated as the design progresses.
