The estimate for the project is between 3 and 3.5 million. The Work under this Contract includes replacement of the trickling filter rotary distributor mechanisms and high pressure air lines for four trickling filters, replacement of the adjustable slide gates within the trickling filter tower, removal of side mounted ladders and replacement with aluminum stairs (additive alternate item), and all appurtenances. The Work for this Project will occur at the WLWPCF. This facility continually treats wastewater from the Salem/Keizer area and operates 24 hours per day, seven days a week. The successful Bidder for this Work will be required to follow very strict work and shut-down sequences in order to prevent any interference with on-going Plant operations. Bidders are referred to Section 01 12 16, Work Sequence, in the Technical Specifications, and other applicable Sections of the Technical Specifications for project requirements. The Work will take place in Marion County, Region 3. Contracts for work under this bid will obligate the Contractor to comply with all applicable requirements of federal, state, and local civil rights and rehabilitation statutes, rules and regulations. In all solicitations either by competitive bidding or negotiation made by the Contractor for work to be performed under a subcontract, including procurements of materials or leases of equipment, each potential subcontractor or supplier shall be notified by the Contractor of the Contractors obligations under a contract awarded pursuant to this bid, Salem Revised Code Chapter 97, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and other federal nondiscrimination laws.
