Contractor Qualification Highway Division CIP Project 1A Rehabilitations, Contract No. 20-01S Open cut repair of 751 l.f. of sewer, replacement of 21 sewer service connections, installation of 10 sewer manholes, open cut repair of 407 l.f. of drain, installation of 15,597 l.f. of cured-in-place pipe etc. Open cut repair of 751 l.f. of sewer, replacement of 21 sewer service connections, installation of 10 sewer manholes, open cut repair of 407 l.f. of drain, installation of 15,597 l.f. of cured-in-place pipe and reinstatement of 312 services, installation of 4,632 l.f. of structural cured-in-place pipe and reinstatement of 88 services, cutting 45 protruding service connections, cementitious lining of 936 v.f. of manholes, installation of eight (8) manhole frame and covers, building of seven (7) manhole bench and inverts, and cleaning and inspection of 235 l.f. of sewer The work must be brought to substantial completion, exclusive of final paving and warranty re-test inspection, within 270 calendar days of the start date fixed in the "Notice to Proceed." The Contractor shall complete warranty re-test inspection within 50 calendar days of the commencement of the warranty re-test inspection. Time is of the essence in the performance of the work of this contract. Bidders attention is directed to the provisions in the Project Manual regarding the assessment of liquidated damages for failure to complete the work within the time specified. The Bidder further agrees to pay as liquidated damages the sum of $1,450.00 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter during which the work has not been fully completed, as provided in the "Liquidated Damages" provisions of Section 0800 SUPPLEMENTARY CONDITIONS. Liquidated damages shall also apply to the warranty re-test durations. The Bidder shall make positive efforts to achieve: (1) a minority employee work force goal of 15.30 percent, (2) a woman employee work force goal of 6.90 percent, (3) a goal of 7.24 percent participation of Minority-owned Business Enterprise(s), and (4) a goal of 3.60 percent participation of Woman-owned Business Enterprise(s) within project contracts.
