The Project consists of removing the bituminous surface and replacing with a new bituminous surface, waterproof membrane, joint repair and other associated Work. The Bridge is located on Eisenhower Drive in the Borough of Hanover, York County, PA. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 8/14/2020 11:00 AM A pre-bid conference will not be held. Bid security in the form of cash, money order, certified or cashier's check, or an irrevocable letter of credit drawn upon a bank authorized to do business in the Commonwealth or a Bid bond shall be furnished with the bid in an amount not less than 10%. Contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price, as security for the faithful performance and payment of all of Contractor's obligations under the Contract. The Work will be substantially completed on or before October 30, 2020, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or before November 24, 2020. After Substantial Completion, if Contractor shall neglect, refuse, or fail to complete the remaining Work within the Contract Times (as duly adjusted pursuant to the Contract) for completion and readiness for final payment, Contractor shall pay Owner $885 for each day that expires after such time until the Work is completed and ready for final payment. If the Borough deems appropriate, Bid Award will occur at the meeting of Hanover Borough Council on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at 7:00 PM. The Borough of Hanover reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, mistakes, informalities, to accept any bid or combination of bids that are deemed to be in the best interest of the Borough, and to reject any or all proposals.
