SCOPE OF WORK A. Work covered by this contract consists of renovations and alterations to the Project described in this paragraph 1.02 including the following major work. Full renovation of existing library in East Boston with new addition of vertical circulation. The interior has been completely gutted down to substrates in the earlier phase. The following are list of construction scope: o New addition of stair and elevator core o All new window replacements o Existing brick envelope repair o Removal of miscellaneous existing facade elements (light fixtures, window shutter brackets, old sign pole) o Roof removal and replacement o Masonry openings on the north facade to the patio and elevator lobby o Curtain wall enclosure at the new addition o Metal panel rain screen cladding at both new addition and existing building o Metal canopies o Skylights o New exterior egress stair o New finishes (floor, walls, ceilings) o New bathrooms o New kitchen o New millwork o New interior & exterior doors and hardware o New foundation work for the new addition o Steel framing at new addition and existing building o Existing columns relocations o Floor infill where existing stairs were o Patios at the East and North part of the site o Retaining walls o Site clearing (plants, existing fence) o Sidewalk removal and replacement o Removal of old exterior mechanical unit with its pad and enclosure o New fencing o Raised planters o Landscape with plantings, lawn, and path o New storm water storage system o Site regrading o New mechanical units on concrete pad o New mechanical system o New sanitary system o Removal of old sanitary system o New electrical system o New fire protection system o New security systems consisting of CCTV camera and intrusion detection systems. o New fire alarm system o New structured cabling systems for tel/data device
