The Engineer's Estimate for this project is in the range of $100,000.00 to $135,000.00. Scope of Work: -Install 6' curb tight sidewalk on S Howard Street, S Blaine Street and E Fifth Street adjacent to Memorial Park.Approximately 1000'. -Approximately 15 ADA ramps that will be constructed or reconstructed. -Two existing ramps will be removed. -ADA parking stalls will be signed/striped on S Blaine near the picnic area. -The driveway approach on S Blaine into the PSB parking lot will be reconstructed to meet today's standards. The City reserves the right for budgetary reason to increase or decrease the bid quantities as set forth in the Bid Schedule of Prices. The bidder that submits a responsive bid with the lowest total bid amount will be considered for bid award. This is a public works project. All bidders must register with the Construction Contractors Board as required by ORS 701.035 to 701.055 and be compliant with all tax laws. By signing the bid, the bidder agrees to comply with ORS 279C.800-870 that requires workers on this project to be paid not less than the current BOLI prevailing wage rates for Region 3. Each bid must be submitted on the prescribed form completely filled out and signed, in a sealed envelope, clearly marked that it is a bid, and have the bidder's name and the project name on the outside of the envelope. A certified check or bid bond (payable to City of Newberg, Oregon, in an amount of not less than ten percent of the total bid submitted) and a fully executed Non-Collusion Affidavit must accompany each bid. A completed First-Tier Disclosure Form must also be submitted to the City within two hours after bid opening. Failure to provide these documents shall result in disqualification of the bid. The City of Newberg reserves the right to reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements and may reject for good cause any or all bids on a finding of the City that it is in the public interest to do so; and to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the City. No bidders shall withdraw their bids for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the date set for opening.
