New construction of a fire / police facility in Manassas, Virginia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 20,419-square-foot fire / police facility.
Station 27 is a new Fire & Rescue station, with location to be determined. The station is planned to house a pumper and an ALS ambulance. Twenty-four hour career staffing will be provided for both units. The building will include sleeping quarters, a kitchen and dayroom, a physical fitness room, a training room, and offices. The station is currently planned to include two to three apparatus bays and an area for personal protective equipment. TIMELINE: As of September 2, 2026, this project is currently under construction. A general contractor has been identified. A groundbreaking ceremony was held in October 2024. Completion is targeted for the summer of 2027. * In the FY 2023-2028 CIP. Design timeline is July 2022-September 2023. No design team has been identified. Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction May 2024 and completion in summer 2027. * *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
