The project includes: 1. Install, maintain, and remove temporary traffic control measures. 2. Perform removal of signs and trees and earthwork operations. 3. Install 3 new pedestrian-activated RRFB signal poles and attach new signs. 4. Install electrical systems for 3 new pedestrian-activated RRFB (conduits, junction boxes, cables and wires). 5. Install 1 new streetlight and associated electrical systems (conduits, junction boxes, cables and wires). 6. Replace landscaping within median with concrete and rocks. 7. Perform additional and incidental Work as called for by the Specifications and Plans. No bid will be received or considered unless the bid contains a statement by the bidder, as part of their bid, that the provisions of ORS 279C.840 or 40 U.S.C. 276a shall be complied with, a statement as to resident bidder status, and whether the bidder is licensed under ORS 468A.720 (no asbestos removal is contemplated for this project). Prior to submission of its bid, the bidder shall be registered with the Oregon Construction Contractor's Board, and thereafter comply with the requirements of ORS 701.005 to 701.137. Each proposal must be submitted on forms prescribed by the City and accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in an amount equal to 10 percent (10%) of the total amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a faithful performance bond and a labor and material payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of contract. The successful bidder will also be required to furnish a statutory public works bond in the amount of thirty thousand dollars ($30,000.00). Evidence of workers' compensation insurance will be required before the work shall commence. The City will investigate and determine the qualifications of the apparent low bidder prior to awarding the contract. The City reserves the right to reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject all bids, if it is in the public interest to do so. The undersigned agrees that, if awarded the contract, s/he will commence work within ten (10) calendar days after the date of receipt of written Notice to Proceed and that the project shall be complete within 30 days from the Beginning of Contract Time
