Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Newark, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of September 29,2020 Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission Contract B212 was awarded to Spartan Construction, Inc. in the amount of $1,439,000.00. The start date of the project has not been determined. No bid will be received unless in writing on the forms furnished, and unless accompanied by bid security in the form of a bid bond, cashier's check, or a certified check made payable to the PVSC in an amount equal to 10% of the amount of the total bid, but not exceeding $20,000, executed by a Surety Company duly authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. The successful Bidder must furnish a 100 percent construction performance bond, and a 100 percent construction payment bond, a maintenance bond, and an environmental maintenance bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. All visitors must comply with PVSC COVID 19 Site Access Protocols including the use of proper PPE consisting of cloth face covering, steel toe boots, hard hat, reflective vest. In addition, visitors to PVSC will be subject to a non-contact temperature scan prior to entering. Bidding Documents (i.e. plans and specifications) will be available for examination at the office of the Architect and Office of the Purchasing Department at Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission. If for any reason, the Contract is not awarded, refunds of the Bidding Documents fee will be immediately returned to Bidders when the Bidding Documents are returned in reasonable condition within 90 days of notice that the Contract has not been awarded. The Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission and Architect have determined that only DPMC Trade Classifications listed below are deemed eligible to bid this general construction project. C024- Historical Restoration All Bidders and their subcontractors of any tier, shall be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, P.L. 1999, c238. All Bidders and their subcontractors of any tier listed in the bid documents pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-16, shall be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, P.L. 1999, c238. A copy of the Bidder's registration certificate may be provided with each bid.
