This work consists of pulling/removing, inspection, repair/replace, reinstallation, and testing of a Plueger submersible pump and pumping well assembly at Village Well No. 2, along with well rehabilitation work, a video survey of the well, and submission of inspection reports. The Village reserves the right to refuse to issue bid forms, and specifications to any person, firm,or corporation that it considers to be unqualified. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without the consent of the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Park Forest. The Village reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids, and to make such award as it may deem to be in the best interest of the Village. Not less than the current Cook County prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor or determined by the court on review shall be paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under this contract. Prevailing rate of wages shall be applied to all labor on this project, whether performed onsite or offsite. The Village of Park Forest is exempt from the Illinois State, municipal or county Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, Use Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Compiled Statute Chapter 35. Bid prices shall not include the cost of such taxes. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's bond, certified check, bank cashier's check or bank draft payable to the Village of Park Forest for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid as provided in the Bidder Instructions. The contractor shall be required to furnish sufficient insurance and guaranty of indemnity to the Village of Park Forest, Illinois against any and all claims which might arise for damages to persons or property due to the negligence of himself, his employees, or his agents during the construction of said improvement and until said improvement has been fully accepted as complete by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Park Forest.
