The purpose of this solicitation is to award a single Firm Fixed-Priced (FFP) construction contract to resurface the aircraft parking apron area at the New Century Reserve Center, in Johnson County, Kansas. The Scope of work for this Design-Bid-Build contract includes the following: Provide all labor, equipment, and materials to resurface the aircraft parking area, install airfield lighting and install gate operator controls. Work shall include but is not necessarily limited to replace aircraft parking apron (full depth), mill and replace asphalt, install new aircraft tie downs and grounding points. Paint airfield markings and parking stalls. Install aircraft parking lot lighting and Install gate operator control circuit. The requirement is an Unrestricted/Full and Open competitive acquisition: both small and large businesses are eligible to respond. NACIS Code:237310 (Size Standard: $39.5M). In accordance with FAR 36.204 and DFARS 236.204, the estimated magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000 - $10,000,000. The work includes, but is not necessarily limited to replacing aircraft parking apron (full depth) with concrete pavement, crack repair and sealing asphalt in the personal operate vehicle (POV) parking area, install new aircraft tie downs and grounding points, paint airfield markings and parking stalls, install aircraft parking lot lighting, install gate operator control circuit, and incidental related work.
