Renovation of a library in Garland, Texas. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a 18,000-square-foot library.
The City of Garland, in response to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ), is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) for selection of architectural, engineering and consulting firms interested in providing professional services for the new Walnut Creek Branch Library and renovations/modernizations to the other City of Garland library facilities. In 2019, the citizens of Garland approved a $21,000,000 bond program for the Nicholson Memorial Library system. The bond program includes the relocation and expansion of the Walnut Creek Branch Library, as well as the renovation and modernization of the other three existing library facilities The new Walnut Creek Branch Library will be constructed on a site to be determined in the City of Garland. The new facility will be approximately 18,000 s.f. and will be used for traditional and innovative library services and programs. As of February 23, 2023, an issuance of short-listed firms has not been released.
