The State Department of Public Defense (Military Division), Iowa Army National Guard, seeks to provide opportunities for Targeted Small Businesses in the awarding of contracts. The IAARNG is authorized to award contracts to Targeted Small Businesses under the provisions of Iowa Targeted Small Businesses Procurement Act of 1986 and the Iowa Administrative Code. The IAARNG is also authorized to establish certified Targeted Small Business participation requirements for construction contracts. It is hereby agreed that when entering into this contract with the IAARNG the General Contractor will take documented steps to encourage participation from Targeted Small Businesses for the purpose of subcontracting or supplying of materials. The project has a Targeted Small Business participation goal of ten percent (10%). Award of this contract is dependent on receiving requested Federal and/or State funding. If such funding is not received within the sixty (60) day bid guarantee after the date of receiving bids, all rights and obligations under this agreement are considered null and void.
