The High Service Pump Station is in an existing facility located on the water treatment plant. The pump replacement project generally consists of, but is not limited to, removing and replacing the pump, motor and baseplate, removing and replacing the pump suction and discharge pipe, and new conductors from the VFD to the new motor. Proposals shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check upon a national, state bank or savings and loan in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price, payable without recourse to the Dallas County Park Cities Municipal Utility District, or a bid bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company, holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance bond and payment bond within fifteen (15) calendar days after notice of award of contract to him. The notice of award of contract will be given by the District within sixty (60) days following the opening of bids. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance bond, a Material and Labor Payment Bond, and a 2-year Maintenance Bond, all upon the form provided in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price, from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety or other sureties acceptable to the Owner. The right is reserved, as the interest of the Dallas County Park Cities Municipal Utility District may require, to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informality in bids.
