Site work for a water / sewer project in Edmonton, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Alberta Parks owns and operates a water treatment plant and waterworks system at Elkwater, AB, providing potable water to the town site as well as the park and campground facilities. One of the existing water reservoirs in the town site is aging and in need of replacement. This 840 cu.m. Reservoir originally built in 1965 will be removed and replaced with a new water tower and pump house. As the existing reservoir is located in an area that is subject to ground movement, a more suitable site has been established for the construction of the new replacement structures. TIMELINE: Construction has been completed. *GENIVAR Consultants Limited Partnership was retained in 2010 and completed a geotechnical investigation and prepared detailed designs and specifications for the proposed above ground water reservoir and pump house in 2011.
