Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Wentworth, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Horticulture Storage Building The work will require the installation of a new prefabricated metal building, concrete foundation, electrical, sidewalk work and minor site work. Bids will be received by single prime format, by general contractors, for all work. All proposals shall be based on a stipulated sum basis. Segregated bids will not be accepted. All proposals shall include the cost of all state and local sales and use taxes. All contractors are hereby notified that they must have proper license under the state laws governing their respective trades. Bid Bonds will not be required for this project. Documentation required by the Sate of North Carolina's Minority and Women's Business Enterprise program included in the project manual will be required by the low bidder with contract signing only. A performance bond and a payment bond will be required for One Hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Liquidated damages will not be part of the bid process. Payment will be made on the basis of Ninety-five percent (95%) of monthly estimates for the entire project. Final payment will be made upon completion and acceptance of the work as stated in the contract documents. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids, except under the provisions of General Statute 143-129.1, for a period of sixty (60) days. Bidders are required to be pre-qualified for this project. Contractors much be approved by the roofing manufacturer of the materials supplied for the project. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
