Renovation of a fire / police facility in Binghamton, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
This project will include: Contract No. 1 - General Construction Base bid removal of two 12'-0" (H) x 28'-8" (W) and two 12'-0" (H) x 14'-0" (W) overhead garage doors, construction of insulated wall in-fill at each overhead door opening, self-leveling overlay preparation and installation on 3,660 square feet of the Fire Station garage floor, and structural repairs to the bottom face of the elevated reinforced concrete slab of the Fire Station garage floor. No proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by a notarized bid guaranty which shall not be less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid for the total work contemplated to be done. At the option of the bidder, the guaranty may be a certified check, bank draft, negotiable US Government bonds (at par value), or a bid bond approved by the Corporation Counsel. Certified check or bank draft must be payable to the order of the City of Binghamton. Cash deposits will not be accepted. The bid guaranty shall insure the execution of the agreement and the furnishing of the surety bond or bonds by the successful bidder, all as required by the contract documents. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to award the contract in the best interests of the City of Binghamton, New York.
