Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in New York, New York. Design plans call for the demolition of a medical facility; for the construction of a 313,000-square-foot medical facility; for site work for a medical facility; 7,000-square-foot clubhouse / community center; elderly care / assisted living facility; playground / park / athletic field; 1,090-unit, eight-acre multi-residential development; and 10,000-square-foot retail development.

Plans call for the redevelopment of a medical facility and the construction of supportive housing, commercial, and educational areas within the medical campus. The campus will have a new medical campus, 1,090 affordable homes, public outdoor spaces and basketball court, urban farms and greenhouse,10,000-square-foot grocery store, and 7,000-square foot community center with space for educational uses. Housing will include affordable housing, supporting housing, and senior housing, in addition to new homeless shelters that will replace the existing homeless shelters. As of November 10, 2023, there will be a Draft Environmental Impact Statement virtual public hearing on November 30, 2023. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until January 8, 2023. An architect and a development team have been identified. Information regarding the method of general contractor selection has not been disclosed. Construction would be undertaken in three phases, the first phase commencing in 2024 and the final phase being completed in 2031, with full occupancy in late 2031. *Former solicitation included for historical reference purposes New York State Urban Development Corporation, d/b/a Empire State Development , in collaboration with New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR), is seeking proposals (Proposals) from responsive and responsible parties for the purchase and redevelopment of the westernmost portion of the Kingsboro Psychiatric Center campus in East Flatbush, Brooklyn (the Project). The total available developable land is approximately 7.2 acres or 313,000 square feet .
