The performance period for any contract that results from this Invitation for Bids shall commence upon issuance of the 'Notice to Proceed' but is anticipated to begin on or around September 21, 2020 and be completed in full by October 12, 2020 at 5:00 PM. Failure to complete the project by this deadline may result in the assessment of liquidated damages in the amount of $250.00 per calendar day. The City shall make every effort to furnish payment within thirty (30) days of receipt of a reasonably detailed invoice. Any invoice received must reference the contract number. Nothing contained in the contract shall create any contractual relation between any subcontractor and the City of Salem. The Successful Bidder shall cause appropriate provision to be inserted in all subcontracts relative to the work to require compliance by each subcontractor with the application provisions of the Contract for the improvements embraced in the site preparation. Roof Replacement Services will include following: Contractor shall propose to perform all labor necessary to complete restoration repairs: o Remove rubber roof along with existing insulation; o Install 1" pressure treated wood nailer to perimeter; o Install 1" isocyuranate insulation ,mechanically fasten screws & plates; o Remove existing skylight, plywood over deck; o Re-roof single ply rubber membrane 060 mil fully adhered. Firestone; o Fabricate and install new 040 metal edge cleat; o Clean & remove debris. o Roof area to be is approximately 27'-0" x 27'-0" = 729 square feet
