Site work, asbestos abatement and renovation of a water / sewer project in Dallas, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The project scope includes, but is not limited to, the following major work items: Demolish existing automatic backwash (traveling bridge) gravity sand filters No. 13 and 14. Perform asbestos and lead abatement as described. Retrofit Effluent Filters No. 1, 2, 13, and 14 forDiamond Cloth-Media FiltersTM with all hydraulic, structural, drain system and chlorine feed pipe changes. Furnish and install one new diamond cloth media filter with a traveling backwash bridge unit in modified filter basin No. 1, 2, 13, and 14. Install heat trace system along runner plates. Furnish and install new fabric canopies structures over Effluent Filters 1 and 2 and Effluent Filters 13 and 14. As part of connecting to the existing canopies, replace the existing fabric covers on the canopies for Effluent Filters 3 and 4 and Effluent Filters 15 and 16. Furnish and install bird netting around filters 1, 2, 13 and 14. Repair, replace bird netting as needed around filters 3, 4, 15 and 16. Furnish and install electrical and instrumentation. Furnish Process Control System (PCS) programming and testing. Demolish and decommission fourteen (14) existing automatic backwash (traveling bridge) gravity sand filters. Furnish and install two (2) 30" butterfly valves into filter basins No. 8 and 9. Retrofit filter basins with all hydraulic and structural modifications to convert to diversion basins. Furnish and replace the filter system central panel Operator Interface Terminals (OITs) for the filter control panels on filters No. 3, 4, 15, 16 and 21 through 28. Prospective bidders are reminded that all visitors attending pre-bid meetings MUST have work boots, hard hats and safety vests and masks in order to walk through the plant facilities and buildings. No exceptions. Anyone wanting to attend the Pre-Bid Conference must give 24 hours prior notice to Belen Campos, camposb@trinityra.org, 817-366-5260 cell, providing name as shown on drivers' license, company representing, purpose (Pre-Bid Conference), and time of arrival. For last minute changes, text Tania Ho at 817-899-5964 and include the same information (name, company, etc.). Directions for the Pre-Bid Conference: Call 24 hours ahead of meeting as mentioned above, then enter the treatment plant by showing ID to security guard. Only responses issued via Addenda are binding. Proposals shall be accompanied by either a Bid Bond or certified check upon a national or state bank in an amount not less than 5% of the total maximum bid price, payable without recourse to the Trinity River Authority of Texas as a guarantee that the bidder will, within 10 days after notice of award, enter into a Contract and furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond upon the forms provided, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price, from a surety licensed to conduct business in Texas and named in the current list of "Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds" as published in Circular 570 (amended) by the Audit Staff Bureau of Accounts, U.S. Treasury Department. The surety for the Performance Bond and Payment Bond shall have an "A" minimum rating of performance and a financial rating strength of five times the Contract Price, all as stated in the current "Best's Key Rating Guide, Property-Causality." Each Bond shall be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the Bond.
