Orange County, North Carolina is releasing this Request for Proposals seeking responses from qualified licensed plumbers/contractors to provide professional services for the installation of private sewer service lateral connections for qualified low-tomoderate income (LMI) owners of Heritage Lots with Pre-Existing Dwellings in the Historic Rogers Road Area. Private sewer service lateral connections are defined here as the 4-inch diameter sewer service lateral pipe and associated appurtenances located on private property, installed from the existing stub-out/clean-out near the property line to the private dwelling to be served. This work will also include the abandonment of existing private septic tanks per Orange County requirements upon completion of the private sewer service lateral connection. This work does not include nor obligate the qualified licensed plumber to bring up to code any non-altered existing plumbing. The Historic Rogers Road Area is located within jurisdictional areas of the Town of Chapel Hill and the Town of Carrboro in Orange County, North Carolina. Orange County is requesting competitive quotations from licensed plumbers/contractors to furnish the Scope of Services for the residential properties located at the following addresses:

Orange County is seeking to retain local professional plumbers/contractors who are currently licensed with the North Carolina State Contractors Licensing Board and have the experience and resources to successfully complete the project. Orange County will not accept bids from Providers that have not attended a mandatory site visit.
