The project is referred to as "Verdel Southwest Bank Stabilization, ERBS-10920" and shall include all labor, materials, transportation, and equipment required to construct approximately 196 linear feet of bank stabilization on the Niobrara River, including construction of rock riprap and related incidental work. Along with its Bid Proposal, each bidder shall submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certiied Check made payable to the County Treasurer of Knox County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to ive (5) percent of the total Bid Proposal. Also, each bidder is to provide a Start of Construction date and an End of Construction date with their Bid Proposal. As specified in the Notice to Bidders, we hereby submit this BID BOND CERTIFIED CHECK in the amount of $ (5% of total bid). This bond will become the property of the Knox County if an award is offered within thirty days after the bid opening and we, as the successful bidder, fail to enter into a contract with the Knox County. The Desired completion date is October 30, 2020. The successful bidder (i.e. Contractor) will be allowed twenty (20) calendar days for completion after beginning work at the site. Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount of the contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject to the acceptance by the Knox County Board of Supervisors. Award of the Contract will be in accordance with the County Purchasing Act's competitive bidding considerations as set forth in Neb.Rev.Stat. 23-3110 to 23-3114. The Knox County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities in bids received.
