The Township of Ramara invites potential Contractors to supply a bid for the repair of a 80 foot pedestrian bridge abutment in Lagoon City. The general scope of work is as follows: - Installation of cofferdam or alternative measure to facilitate dewatering of abutment area; - Excavation below and adjacent to existing pile cap; - Removal of unsound and sound concrete; - Roughening and cleaning of remaining concrete substrate; - Replacement of existing and/or addition of new reinforcing steel, as required; - Installation of steel collars on deteriorated piles; - Forming and pouring new concrete; - Restoration of all disturbed areas; and - Removal of dewatering system. Award subject to final approval.
