Saving Project...

Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Albany, New York. Working plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

https://www.bizjournals.com/albany/news/2023/02/23/albany-bridge-infrastructure-maintenance.html Troy-Menands Bridge Built: 1933 Location: The bridge crosses the Hudson River between Route 378 in Menands and Route 4 in Troy Daily traffic count: 35,000 Rated: Fair The backstory: The 90-year-old bridge is coming to the end of its lifespan. The most recent work on the bridge was an emergency contract in 2017, and shortly after that, the state Department of Transportation authorized a study to look at replacing the bridge. That study is considering replacement at the same site, but also moving the bridge to another location, given commercial growth on Route 4, traffic issues and the steep elevation of its current location. The estimated cost of a bridge replacement would be well over $100 million. _____________________ "As per the Owner the project has been cancelled.
