Shorland Drive Sidewalk project for the construction of approximately 4,650 L.F. of sidewalk including all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the project. A bid bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties in equal amount to five (5) percent of the bid shall be submitted (electronically) with each bid. The bidder to whom the contract is awarded will be required to furnish a surety bond in an amount equal to one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Bid security furnished in bond form shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the state of Kentucky to provide said surety. Proposals must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the same and all persons interested therein. It is the intent and requirements of the owner that this project be completed no later than July 31, 2021. The successful bidder will be required to have a current occupational license in the City of Boone County before the Contract will be awarded. All addenda to this bid must be applied when calculating bid and certified in the bid packet submitted to the Boone County Fiscal Court. Failure to use the correct and most recent addenda may result in the bid being rejected. The Boone County Fiscal Court reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities and to negotiate for the modification of any bid or to accept that bid which is deemed the most desirable and advantageous from the standpoint of customer value and service and concept of operations, even though such bid may not, on its face, appear to be the lowest and best price. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of receipt of bids.
