Demolition, remodeling and renovation of a municipal facility in Glenwood, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for the remodel of a municipal facility.
*As of September 8, 2020, a general contractor has been awarded. Scope of Work- This improvement shall consist of interior demolition and component removal through the structure only. Consisting of removal of all ceiling and framing material, duct work, interior walls and HVAC units. Along with clean up on completion of demo work. Specifications of Interior Demolition - All specifications for work apply to vacant spaces only. 1. Remove all drop ceiling and framing material. 2. Remove all duct work. 3. Remove all interior wall assemblies 4. Disconnect all electric at point of entry. 5. Disconnect all plumbing at point of entry. 6. Remove any HVAC units. 7. Completely clean interior upon completion of demolition. 8. “White wash” paint all interior walls and exposed roof. 9. Floors to be broom clean. 10. Windows to be covered to avoid paint overspray. 11. No need to protect from rain intrusion during or after work is complete. 12. Haul off demolition debris to an EPA Approved Dump Site. (Village Approved) Particular attention should be afforded to assure recycling of all qualified by-products so as to limit removal to dump sites. 13. All OSHA Safety Regulations will be followed in connection with the work. On Site Safety Representative to be present at all times. 14. Contractor is to provide adequate dust and debris protection so as to not allow product off site during any time of work. 15. Contractor responsible for periodic cleaning of adjoining alleyway and parking areas if they contribute to spill on streets. 16. Secure all necessary permits. 17. Submit Site Specific Safety Plan. Note - prevailing wage requirement *The owner requests that all subcontractor / supplier inquiries be directed to the GC Bidder. *This project is being bid by invitation only.
