Completed plans call for the construction of a transportation facility; for site work for a transportation facility; for paving for a transportation facility; and for environmental remediation for a transportation facility.

Bidders are invited to submit proposals for this work on the Proposal Forms provided. Other proposal forms will not be accepted. Bidders must be licensed in accordance with Florida laws. The project consists of providing all labor, materials, and equipment to manage and construct a new General Aviation Center building and associated civil site work for the building and a future ten (10) -bay aircraft storage hangar on the north side of the Punta Gorda Airport. The project includes new vehicular parking lots, access roadways, signage, new vehicular and pedestrian access gates, sidewalk, landscaping, area lighting, self-fueling area, General Aviation Center building, housing the FBO, restrooms, public meeting spaces, tenant spaces and restaurant shell space, and stubbing utilities for a future 10-unit storage hangar,. The complete examination and understanding of the bidding and contract documents, all addenda or other revisions, and site of the proposed work is necessary to properly submit a proposal. All proposers must have a valid Contractors License and be licensed in accordance with Florida Laws for the work to be performed. A Bid Bond in the form provided in the contract documents or certified check in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount must accompany each bid. Successful bidder shall be required to execute and to provide a Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in an amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total value of the contract awarded to him with a satisfactory surety or sureties for the full and faithful performance of the work. No bid may be withdrawn after closing time for the receipt of proposals for a period of ninety (90) days. The Charlotte County Airport Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in or reject any or all bids and to award or refrain from awarding the Contract for the Work, whichever is deemed to be in the Owners best interest. The award of this Contract will be contingent upon the concurrence of the Florida Department of Transportation.
