Solicitation no- 60588733, 12-021-20 Bidders must complete the electronic bid proposal and make any uploads including a signed pdf bid bond. Please note that in order to complete a bid, certain requirements including that the bidder must download all of the project documents prior to bid submission, so do not wait until the last minute to meet the strict time deadline. Bids can be submitted at any time prior to the deadline and revised or edited as necessary up until the time of bid. Preliminary bid results (totals only) will be posted after the bid opening conference call. Printed electronic bid proposals and original signed bid bond are due within 3 business days from the low bidder and 2nd low bidder. Proposals may be modified or withdrawn at any time prior to the time set for opening bids. Directions for the Pre-Bid Conference: Call 24 hours ahead of meeting as mentioned. Upon arrival, check in at the main gate by showing your ID to the security guard. Indicate to security guard desire to reach the West Pond and enter the plant, driving west along CRWS A Road until reaching the Chlorine Contact Basins to your right. Turn left (south) on CRWS 7 Road until you reach CRWS D and CRWS 7 roads intersection. When you reach the intersection, turn right at the dirt road and continue driving west until you reach the Construction Management Services Trailer at the end of the road. The Project site (West Pond will be on your right. Following the pre-bid meeting, a guided walking tour of the project site at the treatment plant will take place. This will be the only available times that prospective contractors can visit the project site. Prospective bidders are reminded that all visitors attending pre-bid meetings MUST have work boots, hard hats and safety vests and masks in order to walk through the plant facilities and buildings. No exceptions. The project scope includes, but is not limited to, the following major work items: Conduct pre-construction and post construction survey as required by the contract documents. Installation of a temporary cofferdam in order to partially dewater the impacted portion of the West Pond during reconstruction of the levee. Partially dredging and mucking the West Pond inside the temporary cofferdam (between the cofferdam and the levee). Removal of unsuitable material at the bottom of the dredged section of the pond as determined by the ENGINEER upon inspection. Excavation along the northern and western edges of the levee within the West Pond to repair failed slope. Owner may authorize additional excavation and backfill upon inspection of soil conditions. Construction of a temporary soil nail wall in phases along the railroad inside the levee (pond side) prior to any excavation. The railroad track must remain operational at all times. This project requires the CONTRACTOR to perform daily coordination with plant staff on scheduled delivery by railroad. Reconstruction of the northern and western edges of the West Pond by compacting the existing material, then installing engineered fill material in lifts in order to flatten the slope of the levee. Construction of a new concrete riprap liner at the toe of the slope to provide an inspection shelf and new concrete berm. Removal of the temporary cofferdam Restoration of levee including hydromulch seeding and installation of temporary irrigation system until vegetation is established within the construction limits. Utility adjustments to accommodate construction and proposed conditions as noted in the contract documents. Driveway Improvements at both end of the project limits. The deadline for questions ended on Tuesday, September 8th.
