The Department of Public Safety (DPS) is requesting Bids for a Roof Replacement at the Decatur Area Office. The initial contract term is effective on the effective date stated in the notice of award (or purchase order if there is no notice of award) and expires one year from that effective date. Additionally, this Contract has four one-year optional renewal periods. DPS solely reserves the right to exercise one optional renewal period at a time. In no case shall the full term of the contract, including extensions exceed five years. Revise questions due date to Thursday, 9/17/20 at 3:00 PM. Revise answers posted date to Monday, 9/21/20 at 3:00 PM. All responses will be valid for 180 days after the solicitation opening date and will constitute an irrevocable response to DPS for the 180-day period. DPS reserves the right to waive, change, add or delete any terms or conditions of this solicitation. DPS may reject any or all responses if such action is in the public interest; accept other than the lowest priced response; and waive minor informalities and minor irregularities in responses received. For a contract in excess of $100,000.00 a performance bond will be executed in the amount of the contract conditioned upon the faithful performance of the work in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents. Said bond will be solely for the protection of the state. f a bond is required, Bidder will be notified by mail. The bond must be received by DPS within ten calendar days and must reference the solicitation number. A purchase order will not be issued until the bond is received and no work will begin until Contractor is notified.
