Demolition, site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Williamsburg, Virginia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a fire / police facility; for the construction of a 31,000-square-foot fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

As of January 3, 2023, the project is under construction with an arch and general contractor selected. Construction should be completed Summer of 2023. This solicitation is for interested teams that have experience in the design and construction of fire stations and/or similar type facilities. From the responses received, the Owner intends to select a qualified Proposer to provide turn-key design and construction services for the Demolition and Reconstruction of Fire Station Project Description: The Project includes the reconstruction of a 31,000-square-foot fire station (Station #1) located at 440 N. Boundary Street, Williamsburg, Virginia. The reconstruction of Station #1 will include best practices to avoid contamination from carcinogens, storage, and overall functionality of the facility. The reconstruction of Station #1 will need to include the complete demolition of the existing facility to prepare the site for the new facility. Fire services will be temporarily relocated to an adjacent facility before demolition. Proposers should include an allowance of $150,000 to support the temporary relocation. The construction of Station #1 must include Administrative Offices; Emergency Operations Center (EOC)/Training Room; Lobby; Dayrooms; Bunk Rooms; Kitchen/Dining, Storage, Apparatus Bays; Decontamination Areas; Work Room; Mechanical Room; Vending Area; Laundry; Fitness Space; Toilets/Showers; other space programming needs and Project Parameters as identified in the Project Parameters document dated July 31, 2020 and Single Station Program Requirement document dated July 31, 2020. Site work will include the connection of water, sewer, power, and other utilities as necessary and installation of concrete driveways and sidewalks to provide access. The Proposer shall establish the construction schedule.
