The extent of work on this project is the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of improvements generally described as follows: Project consists of constructing gravity sewer and force main for park sanitary sewer system for the dump station and central service station, aerobic treatments system, septic tanks and associated mechanical, electrical and controls. The location of the project is as follows: 1433 Front St. Buffalo, Iowa 52729. Notice is hereby given that the Scott County Conservation Board will hold a meeting at Conservation Board Room, Scott County Conservation Headquarters (Gate 3), 14810 110th Avenue, Davenport, IA 52804 at 3:00 P.M. Local Time September 16, 2020 at which time and place said Board shall review the bids for the construction of the proposed work and award the contract to the lowest responsive responsible bidder or set such subsequent time and place, as determined by the Board, for acting upon the bids and entering into a contract for the work. It is anticipated the Board will act on the bids at the meeting specified above and will issue a Notice-of-Award within one (1) week after the meeting. The project is scheduled to be complete and ready for final payment by May 1, 2021. All bids shall be made on the forms provided with the specifications, to the Scott County Conservation Board, on or before the time specified above. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, a cashier's or certified check drawn on an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. If a bid bond is submitted, it must be on the form provided with the contract documents. The use of small, minority, and women-owned businesses is encouraged on this project and bidders shall be able to demonstrate a "good faith" effort was made to utilize small, minority, and/or women-owned businesses on this project.
