Site work for a water / sewer project in Round Rock, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project elements included in the base bid of services are reconstruction of roadway elements within the Right-of-Way for the roadways, integral color stamped concrete sidewalks and illumination poles; stormwater piping to convey rainfall runoff from the project site and surrounding areas draining to the project limits and diverting some runoff to an existing water quality device to meet TCEQ requirements; approximately 2100 LF of 8-inch wastewater line, approximately 1350 LF 12-inch water lines, and 12-inch and 8-inch water line extensions as necessary; and installation of underground duct banks for dry utilities. The following included in the add alternate of services are extension of 8'x4' culvert from E. Austin Ave. and N. Sheppard St. along N. Sheppard St. to Brushy Creek; extension of 12-inch water line to Fannin Ave., replacement of 2-inch line along Fannin Ave. between N. Sheppard St. and N. Lampasas St., relocate wastewater lines in conflict with the storm sewer; and restoration of pavement associated with all stormwater and water/wastewater improvements. Bids must also be accompanied by a "Statement of Bidder's Safety Experience" included in Section 410 of the Project Manual. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled opening time. Any bids received after scheduled bid opening time will be returned unopened. Bids must be submitted on City of Round Rock bid forms and must be accompanied by an acceptable bid security as outlined in the Instructions to Bidders, payable to the City of Round Rock, Texas equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. Contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion of the items of Work listed on Attachment A to this Agreement by Owner of Notice to Proceed, and Contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion of the entire Work no later than 365 calendar days from issuance by Owner of Notice to Proceed, subject to adjustments of this Contract Time as provided in the Contract Documents. If Contractor fails to achieve Substantial Completion of the Work (or any portion thereof) on or before the date(s) specified for Substantial Completion in the Agreement, Contractor shall pay to Owner, as liquidated damages, the sum of and No/100 Dollars ($500.00 ) for each calendar day that Substantial Completion is delayed after the date(s) specified for Substantial Completion. In case of ambiguity, duplication, or obscurity in the bids, the City of Round Rock reserves the right to construe the meaning thereof. The City of Round Rock further reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities and irregularities in the bids received. All questions must be through Civcast.
