Renovation of a water / sewer project in San Clemente, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The Water Reclamation Plant (WRP) Aeration Blowers provide oxygen for plant biology as part of the secondary wastewater treatment process. Two of the Citys three blowers were replaced several years ago. The budget will provide funding for the design to replace the third blower with a new system, since the blower has reached the end of its useful life. Initial funding for the project was in FY2020 to begin the design phase of the project Project is included in the City of San Clemente FY 2021-2026 CIP. Per the owner, as of August 30, 2021, a study on the plant needs to be performed which will push the construction timeline out at least six months or longer. Owner did not disclose information regarding the design team and owner states that it is believed that this project has not gone out for bid. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
